Marshall Performance and Volumetric Properties of Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene Modified Asphalt Mixtures

The durability of asphalt pavement is associated with the properties and performance binder. This work-study intended to understand impact blending Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) conventional concrete mixtures calculating Optimum Asphalt Content (OAC) for mixture also; compare between SBS modified mixture. Two different kinds penetration grades, A.C. (40-50) (60-70), were improved 2.5 3.5% polymer, respectively. Marshall determined in this work. was 4.93 5.1% by weight results show an increasement stability value 8.65 20.19% SBS, And 9.32 20.61% AC (60-70) Furthermore, indicate a decrease flow 14.7 26.47% respectively 10.46 21.21% Other also calculated. Moreover, Blending polymers produces better binder properties, which provides great solution Iraqi road problems affected temperature high traffic load, including less maintenance.
